Pretty good loop. Like the color choices here, and the making of cyborg remix is amazing! In the future, I would like to see more improvement upon the facial structures; should be more feminine even tho Motoko is a machine, and maybe some slow eye-blinking that Motoko does in the beginning after her creation. Sorry, for the nitpicking, but also perhaps a better gesture, like one of serenity, or discern, instead of a straight face. The hair movement, on a lighter note, is great! Keep it up.

AAA status. You guys MUST be working in the industry, and in your spare time providing us with such enriching content. Why are you not as popular, or more recognized? I have absolutely no idea, but you've more than earned my following. Anyhow, everything was done right, especially one of the hardest animations to do: an almost continuous walk cycle, flexing the character up and down the stairs, around objects, showing a TON of gestural movement. Excellent stuff. Tons and tons of love was poured into this singular character, as he his very unique. The Norse mythology reference is awesome. The aura you get from being around him is BA!

Awesome trailer. The transition from 2D to 3D must've not been an easy one, as I can see you are still working on trying to portray more naturalistic human movements. The environment however is amazing! Setup, camera angles, shots, and lighting were really well done! One other critique I have would be the lack of facial expression. There's a slight mouth open, but that's it. Humans can generate over 20+ expressions on the face alone; fleshing out more of that during production would make your character more dynamic! Otherwise, can't wait to see what Robs cooking!

Thanks for the feedback CrabbWalker!

The transition to 3D was a difficult one indeed. I agree that the facial animation (and the character animation in general) is one of the film's biggest weak points. I rigged the model myself, and the process of creating a flexible and expressive face rig is quite complicated. And even with a good rig, the act of creating a convincing, appealing performance when animating the face and body is an art form in itself!

Awesome stuff, cool angles and warm colors! Just one thing I thought that might needed improvement would be the gestures on keyframes. Not as extreme as someone like SpeedoSausage, but enough to where her body language is a bit more understood. Cool animations, keep it up!

I will make sure to work on these few parameters for the next endeavour in my animation escapades!

Pretty funny! Great animation considering the time restriction for NATA.

This sort of concept been done quite a bit, but still it's quite entertaining overall. This style reminds me of Home Video. The backgrounds and the animation isn't too shabby. Good stuff here bro. I might add that since you are directing it all, don't be afraid to communicate problems with your voice actors. They needed to be a bit more theatrical and louder in some areas imo. Egoraptor actually has a video called Mr. Literal, that's like this.

Your animations always have sooo much energy!!! Those angles are crazy to animate! Which leads to a big question...do you rotoscope any of this by chance? Nothing wrong with it, because it still requires a lot of time, plus those exaggerations and transitions really makes for a strong video.

Good clean bone (i think) animation, assuming the animation was rigged. Normally in an animation, the entire body motions toward a particular gesture. Next time, maybe just utilize a bit more body movement along with the arms and eyes you are moving. You see this in even symbol animation, like Teen Titans Go! or Johnny Test. Overall good job with the final presentation! Very high quality!

Evy-Devy responds:

I didn't use bone animation, but skeletal animation. This was more like an experiment.

Awesome sauce. You know what would be ironic though? That upon seeing this, a bank offered you some contract work to do an animated bank commercial! ROFL!!

sadakab responds:

Hahaha the same thought occurred to me! I don't doubt it though lol

Awesome short. Everything was just right!! I knew the ending but it still surprised me XD

An animating night owl...without the whole 360 head turn.
