You have some pretty smooth animation, and you are definitely not afraid to work different camera angles and work from different perspectives. The hair looks gorgeous. The hands in the beginning are so well animated, it almost looks rotoscoped!

I have but two points I'd like to hammer down, specifically with this scene. The shot from the girl holding the sniper to the guy running towards it; both characters are on the right side when the camera cuts; which can be jarring for some viewers...just apply the 180 rule whenever you can to develop a more stronger coordination between your two well animated characters. Your run cycle is pretty good, but don't be afraid to twist and move that torso a bit! I know that shot in particular is hard, and give you kudos for doing that :D

ibrabdo responds:

thx for the feedback, and well said, u r totally right about the wrong camera shot :( i realized it after posting, since i was planning to have an insert shot between them, but i deleted without considering that point when posting, ur critic is always welcome :)

This was a great cartoon. Hadn't enjoyed myself this much since the Tardigrade cartoons. Animation needs work in some areas, but the script and pacing more than made up for it. Keep em coming!

tylerghardin responds:

excellent, glad you liked it, thanks so much :D

The block style of animation looked really interesting. Japanese animation does that style sometimes when there's heavy distortion to the environment, but haven't seen that on people. I'm intrigued on how you'll handle the rest of the animation. Can't wait til you flesh out this project even more!

Wondermeow responds:

Lol, thanks man will keep everyone posted

Awesome little addicting loop; great replayability and nice design for the animation. Sounds are great- everything's good!

SuperPhil64 responds:

Thanks for the kind words! Really glad you liked it. : )

The first part was the best part, probably because the character has a lot of weight to him in comparison to the rest of the animation. Great sync to the music...good stuff for what you did in 15 seconds!!!

Fantishow responds:

Coincidentally, that's also the only part that uses multiple layers. Perhaps I should use multiple passes for different appendages more often. Thanks!

Awesome way to expand your world. This is a success, can't wait to see more of these!

chluaid responds:

thank you!

You took all the best tropes and rolled them into one great comedy, complete gold here mate, well done. I rofl'ed so hard at the lag killer...DS3 seems to have sort of the same thing with "moving statue invaders" lol. On the other hand, I understand the quality of the animation will be a bit lackluster since it's 13 minutes long, but I think next time it might be more effective to pack your best jokes into something shorter, like 2 minutes, without sacrificing grand animation. Overall, good stuff.

Jameserton responds:

Thanks for the review CrabbWalker. Yeah, I'll be sticking to shorter animations for a while. I never intended this to be so long, it just spiraled out of control. Learned a great lesson working on it.

Really well animated! Nice camera work. The most effective part of this ep was probably the sound production, which was very high quality and well put together! You have a very vibrant color palette that aids the feel of what your animation was going for.

I deducted only half a star because all I think this animation needs is more effective extremes...where you can really stretch and squash your well designed characters! I think that might also improve your timing a bit more. Overall, the entire animation was amazing, I can tell your hard work paid off. Will wait for more eps!

Kreid responds:

Dan said thanks for the sound praise! And yeah I can agree with you on the animation, really need to push the extremes a little further, thanks!

The ending was what did this, great twist. Animation was pretty decent, the atmosphere and setup was great. I'm curious as to what happens next! #GuardianSeries

CroMagg responds:

I hadn't really considered this being a series, but there's no reason it can't be. I'm gonna keep that in the back of my head and see if something fun comes of it :D

Extremely clean work, and I'm sure with 2019 as the year it will be completed, you will add in more in-betweens to make it look even more epic. I gotta archive this or something, or else I will surely forget in the next couple years!

P.S- It's always good to see another video upload from Chakra! I know it ain't easy with marriage and working your dream job!

Chakra-X responds:

Thank you! Yes it's tricky finding time for this kind of stuff haha.

While there will be better animated scenes later in the film, unless I get a lot of help, I do not anticipate seeing much more inbetweens then you have already. I need to design the production of this to fit within the 2019 release goal haha, but I hope you enjoy the final product!

An animating night owl...without the whole 360 head turn.
